Hi ha obres que, tot i ser reproduïdes fins la sacietat, no perden la seva poesia. Potser perquè tots ens hem sentit en algun moment nighthawk.
I segurament pocs pintors han inspirat. directament o indirecta, tanta poesia com Edward Hopper. Segurament el poema més conegut sobre Nighthaws sigui el de Wolf Wondratschek, que ens dibuixa així la parella:
